2019 Position Rankings – Quarterbacks

The Class of 2019 is going to be shallow in the quarterback end of thepool but there are some guys who I think will be playing at the next level. Right now I have TreyvionHouston (6-2, 190) of Greer in my top spot. The reason for that is, if I was picking a team right now in SC he’d be my top pic for quarterback. As for recruiting, I look for this kid to be high level division I prospect somewhere on the field. It may not be at the quarterback position but he has a freakish athleticism, a strong frame and speed to burn. He put up 2,900 yards of total offense last season and is a playmaker. While he is not the sharpest passer in the
world with mechanics, he protects the football and rarely makes mistakes with it. Greenville’s Davis Beville (6-6, 205) has the tools. He’s got a big arm and can make all of the throws. I think he may be the best passing quarterback on this list. My only concerns with him for the next level are that he has a long wind  up/slow release and a lot of his offense appears to be pre-determined throws so I’m unsure of how well he reads and goes through progressions. Alex Meredith (6-0, 180) of T.L. Hanna is a run-game manager who has the ability to throw the football. He has offers from Army and Navy and those exactly the type of offenses he belongs in with his skill set. Will Watts (6-1, 175) of Hillcrest is surrounded by athletes so he is able to make plays but he’s a little light. He’s listed at 175 but I’d have to see some calibrated scales to believe that. he does, however, make good throws and gets the ball into the hands of his playmakers.
